The borough council's trial kerbside collection scheme for corrugated cardboard has been extended to cover the whole borough.
In December 2007 17,000 houses were included in the scheme. Thanks to funding from Chester Waste Partnership, it has been extended until March 2009 and will include the whole of the borough.
Corrugated cardboard is usually found packaging items such as televisions, DVD players and computer purchases, as well as much larger items and household appliances.
Corrugated cardboard packaging can be large and bulky so we use a specially adapted vehicle for the collections.
The vehicle operates on the same day as other recycling vehicles
but may collect at a different time - up to 4.00pm.
To have your corrugated cardboard recycled at the kerbside, we ask you to :-
Throughout the year we will keep you informed of the success of the scheme.
