Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO)- An Owner's Guide
What is an HMO?
In general terms, a house in Multiple Occupation dwelling is a house, flat or bedsit occupied by persons who do not make up a single household. The legal definition has recently been revised by the Housing Act 2004.

The HMO Owner's Guide, produced by the council, provides information for landlords and potential landlords on HMO's, and about the standards, regulations and law that applies to such property.
