Throughout the borough there are a number of designated play areas providing formal play opportunities. It is recommended that children are supervised at all times when using play equipment.
At many of our play areas dogs are excluded whilst at other sites we request that dogs are kept on leads. Please clean up after your dog.
Play areas are inspected on a weekly basis by our playground inspector to ensure that the equipment is safe to use. We also undertake an annual independent ROSPA inspection.
The Parks and Open Spaces Unit have a rolling programme of park improvement schemes. Last year we completed schemes at Elm Grove Park, Stanney Fields Park and Hooton Green Park. Further schemes will take place once funding has been obtained.
