
The Pioneers statue celebrates the canal builders who founded Ellesmere Port and was cast in bronze by Liverpool artist Stephen Broadbent.

Some car parks in Ellesmere Port are subject to a Pay and Display charging system.
Charges vary between car parks and apply seven days a week from 8am to 6pm.
Disabled badge-holders are allowed to park free for four hours. Conditions of use are signposted at each car park, and the penalty for breach of these conditions is £40.

Town Centre Car Park, around Ellesmere Port Market and Asda, is restricted to a four hour maximum stay
Marina Drive and Civic Way are restricted to a maximum stay of one hour, with no return within one hour.
