Vauxhall's factory at Ellesmere Port is to be one of four plants in Europe that will build the new Astra.
Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council's Environmental Protection Unit regulates emissions into the atmosphere for certain industries within the borough, many of the others, mostly the larger units are regulated by the Environment Agency.
