Council Tax

Council Tax is collected to help pay for services in the Borough. It is payable on a daily basis. There is one Council Tax bill for each home.

This is the local tax that helps pay for the services provided by Cheshire County Council, Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council, Cheshire Police Authority and Cheshire Fire Authority. It is based on the value of a property.

If a property is unoccupied, reductions are available and Council Tax Benefit is also available for those on low income.
