
The Pioneers statue celebrates the canal builders who founded Ellesmere Port and was cast in bronze by Liverpool artist Stephen Broadbent.

You will normally receive your council tax bill in March. It will tell you the amount you have to pay and how that amount has been worked out. Normally you will be given the opportunity to pay the bill in 10 monthly instalments.
Payment dates are the 1st , 8th,15th , and 22nd of the month for people paying by Direct Debit and the 15th of the month if you pay by cash.
How to pay
You can pay your council tax at any of the following cash offices:
Main council offices, 4 Civic Way, Ellesmere Port.
Mon-Thurs 8.45am-4.45pm, Friday 8.45am-4.15pm

Telephone automated payment line
Pay by credit or debit card on the telephone using our automated payment line, call 0151 356 6887 which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Direct Debit
If you would like to pay your council tax by Direct Debit, call 0151 356 6856 or e-mail us council.tax@epnbc.gov.uk for an application form. You can also print out an application form by clicking this attachment: Council tax direct debit form.

By post
Cheques should be made payable to Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council, crossed, and sent to the Borough Treasurer, 4 Civic Way, Ellesmere Port.
Post-dated cheques will not be accepted. Please do not send cash through the post unless registered post is used.
At the post office
To pay your Council Tax at the Post Office you no longer need a payment card. Your Council Tax bill or reminder has your unique bar code printed on it. Just present your bill and make payment. Payment can be made via cash, cheque or debit card. Please make cheques payable to "Post Office Ltd" and write you're account number on the reverse of the cheque.
